Just discovered Arizona Iced Tea +ENERGY.
20oz for $0.99

it woke me up more than coffee and 20oz of Starbucks is like $2.25.

havent had any other energy drinks (red bull, monster, 5hr energy, etc).

any better bang for the buck than Arizona Iced Tea +ENERGY?

12 packs at Walmart = about $1 a 16 oz can (can't verify as I don't shop there)

Granted, it's more expensive per oz than Arizona, but it's got decent kick and not as much "crash" as other energy drinks.

Get the green apple green tea one. It's delicious.

Red Thunder at "Aldi" is very close to Red Bull and a case runs $19-20 a case. It even comes in a sugar free version.

I like the taste of Monster (absolute zero kind). I haven't done a cost analysis on it though. Probably not good in that regard.

Slap energy drink is about nine bucks for a 12 pack at wal mart. Best deal for this stuff. I get the less sugar one and it tastes pretty good.

This stuff is like $2 for a pack of 10. Each pack has ~80mg (edit: 60mg, actually) of caffeine, IIRC. Lower than your standard energy drink, but roughly the same as a cup of coffee.

Also, if you have a Big Lots in your area, check their store out. They frequently have energy drinks for $0.60 a can. Selection varies, but sometimes they have some pretty good stuff.

This. It's a buck at Publix.

Not that I'm huge on energy drinks but this has just about the same crap in it for 1/3 the typical price. And it doesn't taste like absolute ass.

People don't understand. It isn't just caffeine. It's a combo of b vitamins, ephedra or some ephedra bearing plant extract, taurine, and all that shit gives you much more than coffee ever does. It's literally like rocket fuel. It actually wakes my mind up, and not just in a fuzzy way like coffee / caffeine does.

Such noob answers.

Get Yerba Mate tea bags at Trader Joes, etc (no surprise that expensive energy drinks are now implementing it.)

A real good energy high and none of the jitters. It's what South Americans religiously choose in their coffee rich countries.

Oh I'm shocked nobody mentioned mate dr150 too.

I get it at Market Fresh - Its different than anything I've had before. But I get the raw stems/leaf in a bag, and bring it to work in little baggies. People give looks but whatever. Make sure you aren't pouring boiling water right on it. Needs room temp water first about 1/4 the vessel you are driking from (really should be a gourd/bombilla right?) stir that up for a while, gradually adding hot (not boiling) water. It should end up around 140-160f. Which is basically drinkable coffee-temp (not right out of the carafe, but having sat for a bit so you can actually swallow it).

COntinuously stir it and leave the leaf/stem/teabag in it. Then repeat once you've consumed the fluid, its good for 3-4 extractions.

I actually get a really fresh buzz from mate - its just as different from a pure caffeine buzz as energy drinks are from caffeine. Makes you pee a lot though, like all at once.

I'm going to have to say the 8oz Redline Extremes. If you are not in decent physical shape I would advise against them however. I can imagine them causing heart problems. As well, they make your skin itchy until you get used to them at first.

If you are under 18 its possible, however unlikely, that you might have problems getting them from a store. The manufacture has actually asked us to card people that we think are underage. Most people don't care or know if a kid buys one, but I'm not going to let a 15 year old buy three.

My latest favorite is Monster Rehab. It is diet, non carbonated, and tastes like lemonade tea with no bitterness.
