How expensive are the older Radeons? I was looking at a TNT2 Ultra, but if I can just get a Radeon for about $20 more, than I'm all for it.

I just posted a thread for comparison between the Radeon and the GTS-V, because I have the same question and narrowed it down to the two cards.

The old GF256 DDR can be found for roughly $40 online. It will smoke a GF2 MX200/400 and also run right with (beat it) the GTS-V. OC'ed the GF256 will run 140-150 core and 330-340 memory. The GTS-V runs 166/275 or something like that. The GTS-V should OC to standard GTS levels rather easily 200/333.

.....This is an important consideration if you want the most bang for the buck.

well i think you would do well to go with either of the cards mentioned. the radeon supposedly has better image quality but unless you are going to be viewing stuff at 1600x1200 they both look about the same to me(i own both cards). from what i hear the GTS-V's are now shipping with 5.5ns mem onboard, if this is true i would definately go with the GTS-V as it will serve you better in games, provided you OC it. if you aren't into OCing then the 32meg radeon in the way to go.
