My system specs are below. I'm going to go PCI-Express, and play in 1024x768 on a 17" Flatscreen CRT. Would a 7600 GT "the evga" one on newegg.com for $169.99 with 30 mail in rebate be able to play games like Oblivion or FEAR with ease in 1024x768?
I'm either going to stick with my 3700+, and get an EPoX SLI mobo for socket 754, or go dual core soon once price cuts drop next week.
If it's a waste to get a 7900GT for 1024x768 then I Won't. I am not up to date on performances in 1024x768 since I vaguely see benching at that low of a resolution.
My FX5900 can play Doom3, and quake4 at a solid 60 fps with the shadows turned off completly but I want some nice eye candy enabled when I do upgrade. I'm going to get me a nice 5.1 system, and sound card. Turn off the lights, and blast away.
