I haven't been keeping up with the best bang for the buck CPU options. My current system:
Abit IC7-Max3
Intel P4-2.4C @ 3.2Ghz w/Zalman cooler
Geil PC3500 DDR (1GB - 2 x 512MB) @ 5:4
ATI X800XT-PE (on order)
I guess my first question is will I be CPU limited at 3.2Ghz? I think I will be in some games - maybe UT2004 and maybe HL2 or Doom3. And if so what is the best CPU option to go with my IC7-Max3 and Geil PC3500 as I don't want to upgrade those right now?
If it's not worth upgrading my 2.4C I'll probably invest in a pair of 74GB Raptors as modern games are taking a while to load with my current setup.
