It seems people don't understand the thread too well.

No one said Chumbawamba though, and I'm a little disappointed. I'm pretty sure they didn't have any other albums than Tubthumping.

among their several releases, not one is titled "Tubthumping".

Well, my apologies seeing as it's been about 7-8 years since I've heard the album. Obviously it was too hard for you to infer that instead of Tubthumping I meant Tubthumper, so I won't try to make you think too hard next time.

Also, seeing as they're not some favorite band of mine, I apologize for thinking they only released one CD.

I hate people that can't take a typo for what it is (or in your case just mistaken misspelling, but wooo I think we could all tell what you meant). But if you are going to post something like "It seems people don't understand the thread too well." make sure that you do.

Sit down!

because it was a side project and it sure as hell sounded like it.

Uhh, both were "side projects." TOTD kind of "evolved" into Pearl Jam. Sure both were different and "experimental," but they were damn good.

Both bands have been in rotation for several months on my winamp playlist, and they're still better than the emo/punk/whining suburbanite that passes for rock music these days. More bands need to create an original the way Mad Season and Temple of the Dog did.

This thread is pissing me off. TOTD released their album well after Pearl Jam and Soundgarden released albums (Ten and A-Sides). TOTD did NOT evolve into Pearl Jam.

Sex Pistols was probably the most influencial for only having one album. (Although personally, not a huge fan, just stating the fact).

Also, AC/DC, Eric Clapton, Candlebox, Hootie, the Toadies, and Adema all had more then one album.

And personally, Mad Season is my favorite for only having one album.

I agree with everyone saying Temple of the Dog, but I'll throw out Mighty Joe Plum also. I love that song "What if I fell (15 stories)".

Don't forget about the Sex Pistols "Great Rock N Roll Swindle".

And I am glad someone who knows what they are talking about spoke up about TOTD.

1977 Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols Warner
1979 The Great Rock & Roll Swindle EMI

not to mention numerous live albums

Yeah, it was quite forgettable, though River of Deceit was awesome.
