Best BALANCED nforce2 board

Soon I will be buying a new nforce-2 mobo. I am not sure what exactly to get. I am thrown back and fourth over and over again looking at reviews but I still am very undecided. I have come down to these boards and I am not sure which one to get. I am looking for a board that is balanced with features and overclocking and stability in the 120- 140 USD range. What would you recomend?

i chose the 8rda3+ for it's adjustable vdd voltage to 2.0 volts and the nice features as well...

not a bad board for around 110

Yes it does tend to take up more cpu power. Plus I have read that it crashes in some of the mobo test such as cpu and stuff. look here. I am wondering if this is just the beta but it doesnt sound good to me.

I'll also vote for the RDA3+! I've got an 8RDA+ which runs like a champ at 210FSB, but the adjustable VDD would sure be a nice thing to have if you needed it!

i wouldn't trust tomshardware...

anyway...

i have an abit nf7-s and i love this board .... but i'm thinking about swapping it out and trying out the 8rda3+

i had the 8rda+ and i had a great experience with it but this 2.0 vdd voltage adjustable seems very tempting 🙂

I love my nf7-s. The 8RDA3+ is a step backwards from the 8RDA+ except it has the new stepping of the nf2. They've got crappy sound and NIC in that board.

I say the A7N8X Deluxe because...

1.)mine will run a FSB of 230 perfectly stable with the right RAM
2.)SoundStorm audio is awesome
3.)includes the Silicon Image SATA controller, which is one of the best
4.)the layout of the board is very efficient... lots of room between the RAM and the video card so you don't have to remove the video card to install or remove RAM
5.)USB 2.0 (6) and Firewire ports (2)
6.)performance is slightly higher than other nForce2 motherboards made by other companies

ABIT, you simply cant ignore the wealth of positive reviews and good user feedback about its stability and overclocking power. 😀

The only thing that has really made me doubt the a7n8x is the layout. Some HSF's just wont work on the a7n8x.

Which ones? Mine was pretty roomy.

My A7N8X-Deluxe just died of bios corruption so I had to make this same decision. For me it was between the NF7-S and 8RDA+ because those two seem to get the highest FSB. I got the NF7-S for its SATA, since I'm tempted to get a raptor soon. It was a tough choice because the 8RDA+ with the A1 NB is generally reaching higher FSB.

from what I have heard the bios can be iffy on nforce2 boards. Is it any less iffy on the abit?
