Best Backup Software?

I'm looking for some good backup software for a client.
We will be burning files to DVDs.

Is nero a good choice?
Any others?

Prices?

Thanks.

Hahahaha...

my thoughts too...

Nero is JUST for burning cds/dvds

look for actual backup software

if the client is an individual - then i guess its ok

Now that I'm done laughing & can see straight, how much data & how frequently do you want it backed up?

http://www.veritas.com/ + a decent capacity tape drive + enough tapes to do a decent rotation.

And that is AT AN ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM.

I use nero for backing up stuff at my work, ...but that's because the stuff is under my control and it's only a couple CD's 🙂

It's good software for personal use though, or if this client is just a single person who wants to burn the odd disc, that will be great for him/her.

Thanks guys. I knew the AT ThinkTank could help. 🙂

It's just backing up some files on a couple of machines to get it off of the HD.
I know all about "Corprate Backup". That solution would be far too expensive and involved for this situation.

We used to use that at my old company but this is for archiving some files and freeing up HD space, more than it being data security. The file backup will be done whenever they want something off of their HD's. No server is at the site.

Looks like that will work great for this situation.
