best athlon xp heatsink

Whats the best out there? I have a alpha pal8045 with a 80mm fan and I"m planning on doing some overclocking. Is the aero 7 better? I really like the design of the aero 7's heatsink,

... if you have the 8045, don't worry. It's plenty good enough.
In certain situations, the Thermalright AX-7 or SK-7 might beat it.
In most situations, the SLK-800 and 900 whoop it good. However, it's still as much of a cooler as anyone needs, unless they want to start going with water and/or peltiers.

If you already have the 8045, I'd keep it. It actually performed better than my SK7 (I thought I needed a new hs also) by about 2C. This isn't much, which is a good thing. The 8045 still has the cajones to overclock with the best.

The aero 7+ looks spiffy, but its only for stock speeds. Only 10cfm, thats less air than you can blow. I would say a panaflo on a GC68 would be just about as cool and much more quiet than the aero 7+.

10 cfm at the lowest setting, it goes up to 27.. but don't let its low CFM fool you! It has much greater air pressure than most other fans, not to mention it blows air onto the deadzone of most fans, which happens to be the hottest area (the center), which is its biggest advantage. The fins of the heatsink are skived too (not soldered), so heat transfers from the bottom to the fins better. This HSF can compete with the best of them, i'm telling you guys😀 Ok, maybe not a SLK-900 + super fan, but that's alotta money (if you don't have a budget, then get this one). No one likes this fan cause of its low CFM, but there's more to cooling than CFM! Don't believe me? Read it for yourself 😛

Of course if you wanna go the boring, tried and true route, go for the SK-7/800 + a smart fan II.. it'll cost maybe just a dollar or 2 more for about the same performance. Of course, you asked what the -best- is, and that would be the SLK900, but those are around $40 i think, not including a fan.
