Wondering what is the general opinion on a good Athlon HS/Fan. Nothing too expensive but very decent in cooling capabilities and not TOO loud.

Thermaltake Volcano 7+ any goog? The one w/ the copper HS??

Tks a lot!

I would go with Thermalright SLK-800 with a Panaflo L1A, works for me 😀

I have a feeling the SLK-800 is a bit more than Stout would like to spend, but I could be wrong. I agree with your Panaflo L1A recommendation, good quiet fan!

Definately the Panaflo L1A...but you might opt for the Thermalright SK-7. Near SLK-800 in performance, but only $20 at SVC.COM.

TT V7+ is garbage! It uses the single lug design, cooling isn't great even though the noise level is high, and it's expensive compared to much better performers such as the Thermalright SK-7.

Went ahead and got the TT slk800... Awesome so far. Running a TB 2100+ at about 2100MHz and 30-32c. Have to tinker with the EP-8K7A some more to increase the FSB.

Hmmmm, no one with a Vantec Aeroflow HSF.

Good low noise fan on the Aeroflow from what I hear, but performance is a bit less than Thermalright according to the reviews. I *AM* considering one of these for my P4 rig I'm planning on building, it was one of my options, I haven't fully researched it yet though.
