Guys this is my first post, i have read a lot and learned alot from this forum and would like to get a little input on my next computer.
I definitely want a asus motherboard cause of personal pref (thats all i have ever used and had no problems :) )but don't know which one to go with (under $150). Been through tons of forums reading about pentium processor but i still can't make up my mind ($150-200). This computer will be used for basic everyday surfing the web, i am big on music and i also do a little bit of video editing and a little bit of gaming. So far this is all i have (took me over 2 months to get all this at a reasonable price):

P180 Antec case
Antec NeoPower 480
Dell 2005FPW 20.1"
ATI All In Wonder 9600XT
Audity 2zs Platinum pro - will be hooked to a 600Watts Onkyo 6.1 receiver (i hate pc speakers)
ND3540A DVD DL Burner(2)
160GB W.D SATA (2)
80GB W.D OLD
Motherboard?
Processor?
RAM?

Board and processor from $300-$400

I'd have to agree also w/ the A64 route.. Do some reading before you purchase..

But is you must get an Intel. I would not get a Prescott w/ ddr2 ram.

I'd get the Asus P4C800e-dlx mobo , w/ a P4C 3.2 (Northwood core) and 1 gig of pc3200 ddr. (Patriot is good)

Good Luck
