Best anti-virus/firewall for clueless users?

I suppoort several PC's for my family members and my church. Most of these users do not have a clue about computers & security.

What is the most automatic/silent/don't bug me unless it's a real problem anti-virus/security suite?

It does not matter if the solution is free or not. I just want something that will quietly do it's job and only alert the user if their is a real virus.

Does anyone have any recomendations?

Thanks,

I'm using NOD32 and it works pretty good. You can set it to auto-update and auto delete viruses (can also schedule scans). Then, there won't be anything bothering you unless it happens to be a MAJOR virus where it cannont clean

Windows Onecare and Windows Defender by Microsoft.

Fully automated updating and scanning. Onecare's tuneup function automatically deletes temp files, defrags, and scans for viruses all at once. Defender can schedule automatic Spyware scans.

Both are free right now. Onecare will be $50 for a year of service (if you install it now for free, you can get that first year for $20). Defender will always be free (eventually, Defender will be integrated into Onecare).
