Best Antenna for Cisco Aironet 350 Access Point

I just bought myself a Cisco Aironet 350 Wireless access point on eBay because my Belkin router just plain sucks at Wifi. It came with a Cushcraft 6 dBi Diversity Patch antenna and that seems to work well so far, but I was wondering if there are any other more powerful options out there for this access point.

Well for 360 degree coverage patches are not going to be your best solution. It's been so long since I've had my hands on the equipment you bought but I've put hundreds or 350 series devices and just an assload of Cushcraft patches. Seems like they were 90 degrees. But in that direction they are excellent. If you need a 360 degree cell then you probably want to look at omnis. However with the 100mW radios in those AP's you could go with the antennas that shipped with that model, 2 dB dipoles and cover most houses.

If you want the extra juice there are plenty of 5 dB rabbit ear type screw ons out there. Reverse TNC connectors on the 350's.

Thanks for the tips. I didn't get the original antennas for this thing, just the Cushcract jobber. I may look around ebay for some of those rabbit ear antennas

I have a 350 and a few 1200s in my home.

I get excellant strength/quality from the rabbit ears many houses down.

Post the model number of your patch antenna. As said they have a somewhat directional pattern. But you really need an omnidirectional antenna.
