Again I find myself needing a new phone. I don't wanna spend $800 for the newest technology, I prefer to buy year old technology for 1/3 of the price. I've been using LG G series phones with mixed success, they work good till they die.

Here's what I've had.

LG G2 - Worked 2 years till charge port died
LG G3 - Worked 2 years till sim card slot died
LG G5 - Worked 1 year till its decided to intermittently turn into a brick

So I'm watching an auction for a new Verizon LG G6 that will likely go for $300. Anything else I need to look for. I want android, new in box, easy activation on Verizon and would prefer to not wait for it for 2 weeks to get in however I can if needed (the LG G5 was bought off Ebay shipped from China, don't think it was fake?). Thanks in advance.

you skipped the G4 huh? that's okay you can add my experience to your list if you want: LG G4 - Worked for 2.5 years and then went full brick

I'm on a V30 now but I too was looking at cheap alternatives. I was told the G7 was canceled but then it got released. A co-worker of mine bought it but he likes my V30 better. Go figure...

What about the Moto Z2 phones? They are pretty cheap. I may put a couple up for sale after I am done playing with them.

Well I ended up with a brand new LG G6 Verizon from a US seller with 100% feedback for $316 delivered. I really like the LG phones, just wish they were more durable. If this one doesn't last 2 years I may be done with LG.

I am still on Moto X Pure, but am itching to replace it.

It's upgraded to Android 7.0
I recently replaced the $20 battery and it's at 100% capacity again. (AcccuBattery rocks)

So, I have no reason, except boredom and too much money.

I liked the Motorola experience, so I want another one.
What is a good 2017 Motorola phone?
I also buy prev. gen. for a deep discount.

The Z2 Play and Z2 Force are excellent phones. I have both and use it for media consumption. I should sell one of them. I'll get around to it eventually. I liked them so much that I sold my Pixel 2 to get one.
