Can someone recommend a quiet and very good heast sink fan, I'll be mounting this on a Swiftech MCX 4000, for mt P4 2.53 ghz cpu, I'm going to o/c this so please recommend a nice fan... I read upon the delta 80mm fans, so far I heard is that they are very loud... does anyone recommend the YMD fan that comes on the swiftec mcx4000 on the coolerguys webste?

Please help, this the only part i'm missing....

Thanx in Advance

I had the same question.. So far I think after some research and looking at the Stickies on the topo of the forum I think either panaflo's or Vantec or Pabst fans will do. I plan to o/c my p4 2.53 too and want it to be quiet. The panaflo's are good, but they don't have the RPM sensor in it like the vantec. The Pabst fans are the quietest i have seen but they are a bit pricey. Let me know if youhave any other info. I'm planning to get an Alpha 8942 too.

panaflos do have the RPM sensor. Depends which one you get thats all. I like panaflo, Y-S tec is very good too. The Y-S tec at SVC is a great fan for this heatsink its rated at 48cfm and its very quiet. I have heard it in person not a high pitch at all and not very loud. If I had to recommend a good medium flow fan for these type of hsf I would recommend this one.

Linky

Note: Just looked at their page this fan now comes in an adjustable version for only a dollar more. Thats pretty good if you want a quiet system when your not hardcore gaming:D

I just read so many reviews... and it seems as though the Swiftech mcx4000 is the better one to get... It seems to cool better than the PAL 8942. only thing is that it is EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!... That really bites... Guess i'll get the PAL 8942 and the YS tech fan or the Vantech... but since Lizardmen said that the YS tech is quiet i will try that maybe.
