As title says ..

This runny nose and sneezing is annoying me a lot, and I have to work tomorrow morning.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Me thinks there are some panadol pills they sell, which cures running and blocked nose ;)

Yeah, only problem is that the shops are closed :(

Thanks anyway for the suggestion - I will go hunting for it for future use.

Not sure what to do when all the shops are closed but a couple of suphedrine clear me up, sometimes. But they sure do make me drowsy. Darn false advertising.

The worst is when you're trying to sleep and you can only breath out of one nostrol.

Thankyou Glen for that thoughtful response

;)

Need this solved tonight hopefully, so helpful solutions would be preferred.

All the more responses, the better.

Your welcome. ;)
My nose always runs.
If you can get it all out, it will heal faster.
Drink 2 gallons of liquid a day.
Take 3 times the recomended dosage of guaifenesin (you can get it over the counter)
Use a saline Nasal spray.

i hate runny noses too.
it helps to blow really hard and get it all out.
then go to sleep quick before it builds up again LOLOL
keep yourself warm, drink some water or soup
and you should be better tomorrow :)

Sweet, thanks Glen & rob3rt for your input :)

I will do what you recommended - Drinking lots of water helps flush it out of the system as I understand it (correct me if I'm wrong).

Cheers

Cocaine... ohh wait, that would only not make you care if you had a runny nose, but wouldn't fix it.

Try some Hall's Menthol Throat drops....

You need guaifenesin also.
It thins your mucus.
It is the "tussin" in Robotussin.
Look for the generic one that has just guaifenesin or guaifenesin and pseudonephrin.

Oh. NOW theres a thread on this. I've been sick the last 2 weeks! I got to study with a nose that wouldn't let me breath, and a throat that wouldn't let me talk.

I got to take my finals with a tissue in my hand, and annoyed students around me. Yes, everyone gets annoyed at constant sniffing!! I'm done though! I'm free for a couple weeks. And now I'm feeling better! AHHAHHHH

*Goes crazy and dances crazy style*

Cool, thanks for all the help guys.

My runny nose has stopped :)
I think when i shoved tissue up my nose and left it there for a while to absorb - it seemed to have worked :)

That, along with a hot shower and a hot meal :p

Cheers

Negative, I still live with the whole family :D

I use one tissue, and part it into 2 sections and put a portion of each end up each nostril - works like a charm :)

I just don't rip up bits of tissue and try to fill my nostril with it.. ehheah

Cheerio - time for sleep

You might have an allergy causing this problem. Skip the over the counter stuff, as it completely screws up your brain. Go to the doc get some claritin or allegra prescribed -- works great as they are second generation antihistamines that don't cause drowsyness/stoned side effects.
