For overall stability and overclocking purposes. Right now I have it down to either the ABit NF7-S v2.0 or the ABit AN7. Thoughts?

I was about to say look at the 2 abit boards. :)

I had a NF7-S and loved it. The AN7 is the newwest one but it seems everybody still goes for the NF7-S as the nForce2 champ.

So from MY experience AND what I have read of late, as I have now gone to a Athlon64 system, get a NF7-S and a MobileAthlonXP 2500+ and have fun.

Check out the DFI Ultra Infinity or LanParty II (depending on the amount of $$$ you have to drop on a MB) - awesome overclockers and great support at amdmb.com - Angry_Games is a DFI support rep at the DFI forum. Check the forum out regarding overclocks available with these boards.

NF7-S 2.0 hands down. The DFI seems to hit higher FSB's, but it doesn't really seem to amount to much since the Abit is generally faster clock for clock. The nGuru chip on the AN7 and the AI7 seems to be problematic as of yet, and I think it needs a little work. Both the AI7 and the AN7 generally don't overclock as well as their counterparts, the NF7 and the IS7. The nGuru chip is good in theory, but I think it needs a little work to be ready for prime time...

Abit NF7-s rev2 is great (have one here). The DFI board also comes w/ some nice features at a premium price.
