Hi I am looking for a decent AMD board under 75$ more interested in stability than price, I do not want to buy a top of the line board like a A7N8X or such, any suggestions?

for $76 you can get an msi kt4vl(kt400) at newegg, 6 usb2.0 onboard w/6channel audio and 10/100lan, the only complaint I've heard is that the socket is turned so that the air passing over the hsf is being blown onto the memory, I have one and haven't had any problems at all, but I don't oc my memory either. very stable. and that strangly shaped Zalman cooler might not work in a case with out extra room between the mobo and top of the case.

running a Palamino 1700+@12.5x142 rock solid with a cheap coolermaster hsf.

Newegg has the Asus A7N266-VM for $71.99 shipped. It's based on the original nForce chipset and is only micro ATX, but you can't beat it if you're wanting to build a decent, cheap, and stable PC (has builtin 5.1 sound, GeForce2 MX class VGA, and LAN).

These are nice boards and have proven quite stable with Win2000 and WinXP. They support 266MHz-based and 200MHz-based CPUs. I recommend Crucial PC2100 and a decent name-brand 300W+ power supply such as Sparkle Power, Enlight, Antec or Enermax with these.

Yes they do but not the 220D chipset the A7N266-VM has, it's only a 64bit controller, no big deal though since the implimentation is lacking in the performance the Nforce2 gains from it and is only a boon when using the onboard video on the N1 boards evidently.
