Best AMD DDR motherboard Available today!?

What is the Best DDR motherboard for AMD thunderbirds that is available today, I'm looking for something with at least 3 DDR slots.

If the motherboard also comes with USB 2.0 that would be great as well, but it is not a real big deal if it doesn't.

You have a little problem here. The best chipset for DDR is currently something with the AMD 761 northbridge, but those chipsets only have 2 DDR slots. For something with 3 DDR slots you will have to look at the VIA KT266 chipset which isn't quite as good with the DDR RAM. The new KT266 is supposed to be coming out next month, so if you can wait for that, it is very possible that it will overcome the DDR limitations of the current KT266 and will have support for 3 DDR slots. If you cannot wait I would suggest an AMD 761 chipset and only two DDR slots. I am sure that the Gigabyte GA-7DXR is a great board, but I have no personal experience with it. The Epox EP-8K7A is an attractive solution because it has a low price and the one I purchased was easy to install and was very stable. There is also a RAID version of this board if that is important to you. USB 2.0 isn't readily available in mobos yet.

The Gigabyte GA-7DXR has the AMD 761 northbridge and it has three DDR slots. Also, every review I've seen of this board has said nothing but glowing comments about it.

What????????

My Gigabyte 7VTX is running extremely stable with (3) 256mb Crucial PC2100 dimms, unlike my 7DXR that required registered memory to populate all three slots with 256mb modules. Also the 7VTX has the same performance in most cases as both my 7DXR and Epox 8K7A+. In fact the AGP performance in benchmarks is better than both AMD boards. I am retiring my Asus A7M266 boards in favor of the 7VTX. Overall I still prefer the 7DXR due to the raid capability and CPU voltage adjustments but the 7VTX is an excellent board.
