Well, I have power issues on my MSI board which appears to be an 8+2 power phase design. Both Asus boards and the Gigabyte are also 8+2 from what I gather. The ASRock is a 12+2. It also allows for load line calibration, something my MSI does not allow for, which may come in handy. I will probably get the ASRock as it is towards the bottom of the pricing spectrum of these boards and should have the best power delivery.

My Kill-a-Watt shows only ~525 watts when I'm torturing the CPU at 5.2-5.3GHz, fans up, etc. I have a 900 watt power supply, so hopefully the new board alleviates my issues above 5GHz. My seven year old gets a nice FX6300 system. Minecraft and Torchlight 2 should fly for him. :)

Personally, I am partial to gigabyte.

Having used both the ga-970fxa-ud3 versus the asrock 990fx extreme 4, gigabyte wins easily in my eyes. The asrocks have always packed a lot of features for the money, hence the infatuation many board members here have for them, but overall the gigabyte feels more polished.

I am suspecting the ud5 vs extreme 9 comparison should be similar to the lesser siblings.

NOFI, but lol 'only' 525 Watts.

But I'd say the Asus ROG board, just on reputation. There's more to phases than numbers. Actually, you already have a very beefy board, so I'm not sure others will do better. This might just be the limit. The ROG board has an extra molex connector though, but I'm not sure if it's for the cpu or the gpu's.
