Best all-in-one media codec

Something that will allow me to play pretty much any movie/TV show etc that I download through media player classic... Thanks.

Well there is no all in one solution but the codec that I have that pretty much plays everything is

Divx,AC3,FFDShow

I don't think I have ever had a problem playing anything, I also use vlc player which I think helps.

Does the trick, unusually it stopped any stuttering or crashing in Oblivion for me too.

works fine for me. i dont have realplayer/real alternative installed, but i do have quicktime pro for viewing HD streaming properly and such.

Your question is odd. I think you may want to look up what a codec is first. Movies arnt all made in a single codec, thus they dont use a single codec to play. if you mean a single package of codes, youd be more on the mark.

i just use the gordian knot codec pack. installs everything pretty much

i use the k-lite codec pack. here is a link to the K-Lite Mega Pack which should let you play almost any movie on the net. it has ffddshow and everything. it rocks and uses MPC.

Go with CCCP; they always include new ffdshow builds.
