I have one big 120 mm Pabst fan that I want to place inside my case. I thought cutting into the side of the case and putting it so it could move ambient air onto the heatsink (and heatsink fan) and also onto my video card would be good. Any other suggestions? I would have one 90 mm in the front of the case for exhaust.

I would cut a hole so your getting fresh air, also you might want to think of putting in a 80 or 92mm blowhole to get rid of that hot air thats rising to the top of the tower!!

You also might want to think about reversing your idea.

120mm on the side as exhaust. 92mm in front as intake.

exhaust fans usually should be placed closer to the top of the case because heat rises. just touch the top of your case and you'll see it's pretty warm. you should have an intake in the front and add an exhaust either right under the power supply or on the top of your case. you can add an intake to cool your pci slot cards also.
