Alright guys. Here's the deal. My Tbird 1.2 O/ced to 1530mhz is currently being cooled by a Maze2 waterblock using dangerden Cube radiator and a Danner 350gph pump.
However the pump has begun leaking.
If I buy a new pump that will run me probably at least $40 plus all of the new tubing and barbs Ill need as I have the current pump covered in Silicon to prevent leaking in the meantime.
Im currently a tad strapped for cash and cant really afford to go out and pay for all of that.
So Im going to go back to aircooling (as much as I hate it) and probably sell my Waterblock and Radiator so I will be able to get the new HSF as well as put a few more $ in my pocket. Also it will allow me to take my comp to lan parties etc, so its not all bad I suppose.
Anyway, on to the question:
What is the best HSF combo for me that will be semi quiet (delta's drive me nuts) but yet will still cool my O/Ced processor well.
Im looking at the Alpha 8045 and the Thermalright AX-7 right now as Heatsink options (unless you guys know of a better one that isn't a fortune)
But need to know which one is the better of the 2 and what fan I should couple with it. Im not really really sensitive to noise, so it doesnt need to be silent or anything just the Deltas are too loud. My friend has the 60mm 7000Rpm delta and it sounds like its going to take off or something, dunno if its his case, or what but it drives me nuts. And Im sure the 80mms are the same way.
So whats another good fan that will cool well but just isnt as loud as the delta's and which HS is better
