I am selling a buddy my old P3 setup minus the video board.
He is upgrading from an AMD K6-233 and only doing so, because
the motherboard finally died.
What's the best value in an AGP card for under $50?
He is obviously not a huge 3D gamer.

Thanks,
Mark

You might be able to find some Voodoo5 5500 AGPs in the FS/FT forums for ~$50. Since he's not a gamer, even a simple TNT2 would do the trick. They can be had for less than $50, including shipping. Newegg has a few. The Gigabyte one is the cheapest, I believe.

Good luck!

Go with the GeForce2 MX 200 32MB on www.newegg.com for $45.

For $20 more, you can get a "CardExpert GeForce2 MX 400 64MB SDRAM AGP", available on www.newegg.com for $65.
Much better card :D, however is outside of your $50 limit. :(

just curious... if the guy isn't a gamer whether he'd benefit from the GF2 MX200 32MB vs. the GF2 MX400 64MB card?

Actually I am looking for a card for my second machine and had a price of $50 in mind... looks like the GF2 MX 200 is at newegg is a good choice
