Hi, I am considering a new mobo for my FX-55 system (as well as a 3500+ for a friend) and would like to get a better board in terms of overclocking ability? Any input would appreciated!

The DFI Lanparty NF4 boards are overclocking monsters, but unfortunately they are only pci express.

THe Epox 9NDA3+ (or 9NDA3J) seem to be good, and people like the MSI and Asus boards as well.

The MSI K8N NEO2 will do 300+ HTT without batting an eye. It's got a reputation for being an excellent overclocker.

Are DFI NF3 boards as good as their NF4?
Which mobo manufactor has the most voltage settings, fine tuning tweaks etc. on their boards? I know ASUS is certainly not the one.

on your AV8 try setting the agp pci lock to 74 mhz for the agp; most people say this allows them to over clock a lot higher (before spending money on a new board... In which case get the MSI K8N Neo2 or the EpoX 9NDA3+ or 3J, all 3 OC very well - there are no 939 agp DFI boards)

edit: saw you had a FX55, so i assume you are overclocking by changing the CPU multiplier, so i realise that you want a new board for higher voltages, and not higher "fsb" (HTT) speed..... Well, what voltage are you running your cpu at now?

I'd get the 9nda3+ or 9npa+ when its released, Epox makes the best BIOS's, has great customer support and RMA policy, and their motherboards just work, they implement nvidia chipsets very well. I think anyone on this board would tell you that they also overclock the best or at least with the best of them.
