AIW X800XT is now selling at or near $150. If you want an AGP upgrade to tide you over for a little longer, this is the one folks!

ATI X800XT AIW $129; ATI 1900 AIW $199 AFTER TRADE IN!

ATi AIW X800XT AGP mWave $152.64

I bought mine from ZZF for $155.99 plus $1.99 for 2 day Fedex, but they are currently sold out. My first 16 pipe card and I'm really excited! No more lagg suicides for me!! Goodbye choke and loss!

Do you agree that the ATi AIW X800XT is the best for the money if you plan to stay with AGP for a little while longer?

I just ordered this very same card from Buy.com last night.

http://www.buy.com/prod/ATI_All_In_Wond..._8x_Video_Card/q/loc/101/10386224.html

I got a message saying it was out of stock some 3 hours after I place my order when it was "In stock", and that it was now on back order. The final total was $157 shipped. This will be 167 shipped. What to do... I wish I knew how long it took to get something in stock. I want this card by friday.

Honestly you could probably find someone willing to part with their old cards. Maybe get a 6800GT or something along those lines pretty cheap.

Not in the least...the 6800GT is much faster for gaming. Which is what I assume people do with these cards. For anything else you probably wouldn't even have to spend $100.

So you would likie a 6800GT (Used) over a X800XT (New)?. Well go for it. I personally like IQ and NEW products. That way I know what I am getting. At this price, it simply cannot be beat!

EDIT: Also I play alot of Source engine games, so i dont think the 6800GT will have THAT much to offer for me.

i dunno . . . is the x800xt AIW as fast as the regular one?

if so - and if you like the extra 'features' . . . it is $129 on ATi's website after a $50 trade-in of any [junk] videocard. ;)

ATI X800XT AIW $129; ATI 1900 AIW $199 AFTER TRADE IN!

some of the AIW series were just as fast as the regular ones, afaik.

EDIT: Your mWave x800xt IS an AIW :p

i need to read better . . . so it appears it is cheaper on the ATi site IF you have an old junk card.

Damn! I could have saved $30!! I checked there before, but it was $179. Figures they would drop the prices AFTER I buy :(

Thanks apoppin, I added it to first post.

From what I understand, the X800XT AIOW stands side by side with the regular version in performance. The X1900 AIOW however can not even match an 1800XT however.

Oh yeah, and an X800XL can match the performance of a 6800GT. An X800XT is simply superior.

your's is still an excellent deal! you still have to "work" for that rebate . . . that might never come.

my x850xt agp is gonna last me till i do the complete *makeover* next year . . . Oblivion still runs GREAT [with grass 'down'] at 11x8 - even 4xAA+Bloom!

Historically, nVidia cards take a dump when quality settings like AA and AF are enabled and additionally the IQ was not even up to par. The 6800 certainly fits into that category. Furthermore it totally lacks Adaptive/Transparent AA and has a defective PVP. On the flipside, ATi lacks driver scaling options and has defective TVO (and VI on VIVO cards, at least). I would not count on the AIW part of the card being useful or even particularly functional, however it otherwise seems like a good deal.

However, depending upon shippings costs some have mentioned and the hassle of the trade-up and disallowance of coupons, the X800 XL AGP refurb for $119 may be a better choice than the new X800 XT AIW. The latter may perform marginally better although I understand the former does not differ as much as expected due to some tweaking of the core design.
