I'm looking to upgrade my 9800pro. Whats the best agp solution between $200 - $300??
I have a 2005fp so I would like to be able to handle 1650x1080 in new games (quake4). I dont care about AA.

Looking around newegg im seeing a 6800GT's for under 300. Would that be a good choice? Are there cheaper cards that can be overclocked ect...?? I havnt been keeping up lately.

thanks

The 6800GT would be a good choice. I also like the other iterations of ATI's x800 series, particularly the x800 pro, x800xl and the x800xt models.

The fastest overall card is probably this one.

X850 XT PE, and for 362 USD, its not a bad deal either.

you can get the card...but it's out of his price range by at least $60.

In this case, I'd save a money for a while longer. The X850 is certainly no slouch.

for under $300, I would say 6800GT or X800XT. For the 6800GT, the Leadtek one's probably the best (with stock cooler) and you should probably put an ATI Silencer 4 on the X800XT. The X800XL AGP version isn't really much cheaper and quite frankly loses to an X800XT.
