Best AGP card for BF2

I have a 6800GT now .... I am looking to upgrade to something better but dont want a new system to get PCI-E. Sooooooooooooooooo .... whats the BEST card out there for us few AGP peeps?

AMD 3500 winchester
2 gigs ram
74gb Raptor
Asus A8V deluxe mobo

I want to find this card ...... Gainward BLISS 7800GS

well, aside from the fact it was only avail. in europe (not sure if it's still available), the x1950pro is still a superior agp card, and likely a lot cheaper than the Bliss even if you can still find it.

while the ref. 7800GS AGP was a G70 GPU with 4 missing pixel pipes, gainward's had the full 20 like the 7800GT pci-e models. it has slightly higher clockspeeds than the ref. 7800GT pci-e, but it still performs much like that 2 generation old G70 GPU.

X1950Pro.
Do not get the Bliss 7800GS. It costs the same or more from what I know, and does not perform as well.

Last I saw the 7800gs + bliss (24 pipe version with 512 ram) on ebay for 300.00$
This card with a little overclock performs like a 7950gt which beats the 1950pro.

was that ever anything more than a rumor? even on gainwards site the '+' model is based on 20 pixel pipe g70:

GS+BLISS 7800 GS SILENT 512MB

and that is a discontinued product.

the BLISS 7800GS AGP 512MB GS-GLH seems to be their highest performance AGP part, and it is also based on the 20pixel pipe G70 gpu.

I've used both of those cards before and they don't perform as good as a X1950Pro....not to mention their stupidily high price tag of AU$550+.

I must disagree the 24 pipe version will beat a 1950 pro. They come with 1.2 ns ram that can do gtx speeds and cores that come close to a gtx. There is places to volt mod too. They do match or surpass a 7900gtx. If you can get a used one on Ebay you will have the fastest AGP card. And like I said they were going for 320.00$ when I seen them.

EDit: and they all (99%) clock to 7950gt speeds without volt mod that ive seen

The supposed "X1950XT AGP" would be the fastest. (unless thats vaporware)

IF not I would say the X1950pro to be the fastest.

yea i think that was bull (1950xt) ,thats a shame. From the bechmarks i've seen a 7950gt beats a 1950pro

Edit: the 20 pipe version came with cheap ram 1.4 and a 7800gt core

Needs more cpu mabe a amd at 2.5 and higher resolutions this card would kill the 7800gs superclocked in that review. My 7800gs clocks at 499,1450 from stock 350 ,1250 and plays games well.

So is it worth it to go from a 6800GT to a X1950pro?
BTW ... not that it matters ... but I have never owned an ATI card ...

I think so. I can now run 1920x1200 with most eye candy turned on.

so 411/2.1 is normal?

stupid nvidia drivers (latest ones i used) always did that too me too. it would double the clocks of whatever you had. since i have (had, its under rma now) a 6600GT and its clocks were 580/1.06, it was 580/2.12...yeah.

does that bug happen to anyone else?
