Best aftermarket cooler for 3870 ?

i want a blue 3870 to match the motherboard i am going to get, but none of them seem to have the cool dust devil coolers and the HIS one that does just went up like 40 bucks in price to 220+, so i figure i might as well get the saphire one for 175 and my own cooler

any recommendations ?

As I found out recently, the HIS cards aren't actually real copper so might aswell go with the cheaper Sapphire. If you are looking into getting a card that exhausts the hot air then you will want to check out the Accelero S1 and it's derivitives. Other options, though without exhasusting the air out the back, are the Thermalright V2, HR-03 GT and Thermaltake Duorb.

nice, i have had great experience with thermalright in the past (basically my favorite cpu heatsink maker)
wasn't aware that it fit the 3870 tho, the newegg search only turns up accelero when i search for 3870

i could probably modify that with a duct and fan to blow the air out of the case i suppose ...

hmmm newegg never has thermalright products in stock anymore, i might have to find a new "one stop shop" dealer
