Hi all,

I am planning on buying a set of noise cancelling headphones as a christmas gift and wanted to find out what you guys think is the best pair around the $50 range (i know Bose is awesome, but I dont have that kind of cash). The main purpose will be to cancel out snoring (my friend's roommate snores so yea...it'd be a great gift for my friend).

Thanks so much!

first, bose != awesome. bose's marketing == awesome. that's about it.

second...any noise cancelling headphones will be pretty bulky...you sure your friend wants to sleep in them?

Nope, Bose is quite a decent noise cancelling headset. But I don't think a noise cancelling headset will be too effective in this situation since they work best with constant noisestreams like the hum of an engine. Snoring is a peaked type of noise and so it just wouldn't work out well.
