Best 939 Motherboard?

I just got a deal on a PCI-E video card so going to upgrade to an AMD64 system.
I want onboard video because in about year I will move to M2 and use this in my HTPC.
I will not be Overclocking anything so I don't really care about how good any of them are at it. I perfer a Matx size so I have larger selection of cases for later.

It seems my best choices are ATI-Express 200 and the NV 6150. Which chipset works for me best. Also what actually motherbaord (asus, foxconn...) has the best features.

I was gonna ask this because you mentioned HTPC use. TV-out is handy for now while DVI can be useful in the future. Some rear projection TVs have HDMI inputs which can be hooked up to a DVI connector through a cheap adaptor. Not sure, but I don't think there's a chipset limitation to having video out - just depends on the mobo manufacturer and most seem to think that the cheaper chipset goes on cheaper boards with fewer features. Kinda makes sense...

Any of the chipsets you mentioned will work, just jot down a list of features you want and find a board that fits the list.
 
DVI is nice but I perfer to have both DVI and either VGA or component.
The reason is VGA and Component will never have any copy protection put on them.
In the future with Vista and many HDTV all ready out you need the Macro Chip in to even view it in true HD. I perfer to know I'm covered.

Also the 6150 has purevideo and thats helps alot with HD output.
And finally the drivers support the HD resolutions much better then the 6100 (from what I have read). I think for the little extra cash you got more.
 
On 12/ 01 the Anandtech crew began a review of the Asus 6150 board for general use. The HTPC part is to follow.

Previous Anandtech reviews include a Biostar 6100 board and reference ATI X200 board. All the boards have strengths and weaknesses such as what chipset features are implimented and what I/O is on the backplane.

Check those reviews and then look at Newegg to see what customer comments are for all currently available boards.

For HTPC I'd wait for the Asus AT just reviewed. Yeah, you have to buy the bracket, but by the time you need it it'll be $5 on ebay. What you do get though, is HD audio and hardware decode of MPEG-2/WMV9 HD(1080p/1080i) which if you are using a single-core A64, could be the difference between playing the content smoothly or not.

I'm a bit biased, as I had a Asus A7N266-VM that was used for HTPC and it was a jewel.
 
Ok I settle on the 6150. I'm getting a NV video card and perfer a NV chipset with it.
I like ATI but I think I use the vidoe card and the on board card together if i they are both from NV.

PS
Does anyone know if any companies are playing to use the 6100 or 6150 in baseline products. I see I lot of OEM using the 200 express.
