title says it all, i hear d good thign about the k8n, but locekd sata ports are by the cpu.... and on the 9nda3 the loced ones are under the video which i hear many peeps have priobelms with

I use the locked ports on the K8N NEO2. The SATA cables are so thin that they don't interfere with airflow or contact other components. It works fine.

The port placement on the 9NDA3+ is only a problem if you're using a massive video card heatsink (like the NV5 Silencer).

the 9nda3 is a good board for ocing but the placement of the power cabel for the mobo is retarded..... like yeah... and the sata are out in the middle of no where.....

ok thanks for the help and my next question
if i have IDE harddrives do they need a lock or what?

Nope, it's only the SATA ports with that problem. With decent cable management Epox's cable placement isn't all that bad and the SATA ports aren't in some crazy place like on top of the AGP slot.

330fsb and prime 12 hour stable and I use SATA ports 3 & 4 on the Neo2 MSI board.....Defintely locked and working flawless...Never a corrupted install.....

Unfortuate that not all of the 4 ports are locked...now I need to get a card so I can run my raptor in a Raid 0 and still have a large SATA backup drive...
