My first post if this is not the right Forum, pls let me know and I will move it over.
My apartment is under construction and soon to be complete. One of the "ugly" aspects of the otherwise open Living, dining and kitchen area is a Concrete Column that goes almost in the middle.
So when Life gives you a lemon..., I am hoping to mount a 65" Flat LED (some thing like the Samsung UN65JS8500) on the column, that I can set in a portrait mode in general, then flip it 90 degrees when doing something fun (gaming, movies etc).
The column width is 3 1/2 feet, so the tv profile, when in portrait mode, would be completely "inside the lines", sort of tucked away. Which is perfect.
I need your guidance in determining the right mount.
I was thinking of the something like the Model "RFM" mount found on mounts.com. But it doesn't have the Tilt, so the perfect height would be a challenge.
The other option was the the model "RTM-S" mount found on mounts.com, but it needs a stand (I could potentially install two steel poles in the column, to create a stand). This has some tilt - which is perfect, but unfortunately a lower weightage rating.
Are these the only options out there for my requirement?
Any other mount suggestion (either on the market OR a sturdy DIY option) would be welcome, including some advise on the practicality of being able to do this day in and day out.
Thankyou in advance!
