Best 9" graphics card?

So I have an HTPC case, and it can only fit 8800gts length cards, so ~9". Maybe 9.5" if the power connectors are sideways instead of facing out toward the end of the card. What's the best card I can get at this size? Looks like the GTX 560? There's a few more cards that might fit, but most of them put the power connection on the end, which makes the card too long if it's only 9.5".
 
What power supply and what are you going to do with it?

I put a GT240 in mine for the upgraded sound over onboard. I am guessing yoru HTPC is more than just a HTPC?

I play games on my HTPC. Many games support the Xbox 360 controller now, it's an expensive console for me.

I'm currently running a non-reference GTS250. However, I'm looking at an upgrade for my desktop graphics card, and I'm eyeing something that can eventually be put into my HTPC when I finally upgrade my desktop graphics card again. I figure parts compatibility is cheaper than maintaining two incompatible builds.
 
Still important to hear what your PSU is, as well as what your CPU is.

I also use my HTPC as a gaming system with an Xbox controller. I chose the GTX460 due to its short length. I would say it's as much power as my e8400 can handle, i.e., it's a balanced combo.

To answer your question, yes, the GTX560 is the most powerful card at 9" or under. That doesn't necessarily mean it's the best card for you.

Also, what are the specs on your desktop?

The desktop has a quad core Phenom II. The HTPC has a quad core Phenom I. I figure it will just inherent upgrade parts from the desktop as I upgrade my main comp, the only limitation is the HTPC case won't fit a card longer than 9".
