As title really, what do people think is the best 8800GTX with 768MB Ram out for the money at the moment that has reasonable overclocking potential?

Will be after 2 shortly so want to keep the costs of the cards down as best I can :)

Buuuuuuuuuuuut having said that, would getting 1 Ultra be a better move or should I stick with 2 GTX's?

Thanks very much for any gen :D

Get 2 8800GTS 512's if you are looking for an SLI setup, even if you're not, a single GTS 512 > GTX at this point. Look at some reviews around, you'll see all you need to know- the GTS is as fast as a GTX and priced much lower, runs cooler and has Purevideo for HD media.

Hmmm, well if money is not a problem, then you could run sli-ed 8800gtx's. But, that's only REALLY necesary if you want to run at 1920*1200 with lots of aa/af. At higher resolutions aa/af become less important though, kinda like a 2 edged sword. I think you are better of sli-ing 8800gts's, and use the money you save now, to upgrade in a year or so. Or, even better, buy a single 8800gts 512mb, because you'll save a lot of money, and that 8800gts 512mb will still give very good performance in almost every game, except for Crysis, but that's just one game, not worth it.
