hi :)
been readind the threads and reviews and so far am getting confused with all the memory problems and differing benchmarks.

what i want is a very stable board that in the future can be upgraded (to 800fsb cpu) and o/c resonably.

ATM i am using samsung 333 512mg/2 sticks and just want a stable and fast board.

looking at what is arround and what i can find locally in the stores so far i can find the msi, asus, gigabyte and abit with abit being the only one available from my favorite store.

also leaning towards the abit one. the non lan version is about 75-85 bucks cheaper (canadian) but i would need to buy a network card and probably would buy a better brand so cant see that i would be saving huge ammount by going the non lan route.

will be reading the springdale boards troday or tomorrow.

anyway does abit offer great stability? or would another board be better for it.

I chose the Abit IC7-G, it seems to be the best one as far as stability and features. I hear that the Intel is very stable, but without the extra features.

thanks :)
the intel one doesnt seem to be instock anywhere and it also isnt good i hear for o/c which i would like to do later in the future.

reading reviews on the 865 leave me confused since most ads i see say 800 fsb and cpu which is kind of opsite from the reviews i have read.

so far i think i will be planning on the abit. i dont know if i will ever need the gigalan but by the time i buy a good network card the savings wont be much and i also get the other extras.

i am using a sis msi 648 max -L now and honestly have had problems from the start and have had to work on it to get it working right. rather have a more stable board. i remember the bx boards with fondness and hope that intel will be close to that after the memory fixes.
