My mom just told me she wanted to buy 2 passenger cars for her business and wants to know what's the best choices on 7+ seaters out there. I'm not looking for commercial vehicles or anything, just passenger cars/vans/suvs that would carry 7+ people.

so far, my mom likes the acura MDX since it'll be good in the cold canadian snowfalls. But I didn't even know it was a 7seater until today... plus it looks like it'll be a very cramp seating arrangement in the MDX. Going for a test drive soon so we'll see.

any suggestions are appreciated. But nothing in the price range of a rolce royce limo or whatnot. :p

Honda Oddysey would be my first choice. Minivans just offer superior seating over SUV's.

If the MDX is a little rich for your blood, you can get a stripped down version in the Honda Pilot.

IIRC, the Acura MDX is based (suspension only?) on the Honda Odyssey platform. Some called the MDX "a Honda Odyssey on stilts".

Is there a budget limit?
The ultimate 7+ Seater has got to be the Land Rover Defender 110 which comfortably seats 9, and should have nooooo trouble handling Canadian weather.
I believe it isn't available in North America, but you could always import one.

From a more practical standpoint, the Acura MDX is pretty sweet.
I also like the MDX.
The MDX is pretty comfortable even with 7 people.
Acura makes one called the "MDX" or something similar that is pretty nice.
Then there's the Honda Pilot which Honda swears is not made on the MDX base.
I happen the think the MDX is pretty good.
The Toyota Sequoia looks sharp.
And then there's the MDX...

But if you know what's good for you and you are filthy rich, you should just stick with the Defender.

For 7 (comfortably), the Oddysey is awesome. My parents have one. It's a very nice vehicle. Great power, comfortable seats, and plenty of cargo room. Can't beat it.

I love my Maibatsu Monstrosity. :D

I don't know about your mom... but I'm a marketing manager who lives in the suburbs and commutes to work on the highway. I live alone, so of course I needed a car that can seat 12 and is equipped to drive across arctic tundra...it just makes me feel better!
