Whats the best manufacturer of the 5900nu?

I see that the eVGA ones have 2.2ns ram is that the best one to get? At newegg its one of the few that it says NOT REFUNDABLE only exchange for same product, why is this when other 5900nu cards dont have this prompt?

THanks

I have an Aopen that runs 490/950 (has 2.2ns RAM)... very nice card... in the past, video cards haven't perfectly lined up with the slot in the back of the case, this one does.

I have the eVGA 5900nu. Nice card. Overclocks to 485/950. I run mine stock though. Doesn't need to be faster that it is for the games I play.
I dont know why Newegg does this on certain cards. It might be due to the manufacturers discounts to newegg to some extent.
The eVGA is one of the lowest priced 5900's I have seen. I bought mine when it was at 249.00 from GameVE.com. Has dropped much since then.

I can't be absolutely certain but based on previous experience with this disclaimer being attached to a product at da egg it's due to idiots who bought that particular item from them already. For instance, when the Epox 8K3A and 8K3A+ where introduced there was no such disclaimer but due to all the idiots who couldn't figure out that the on-die temp reading was the reason for the high temps they were getting with all other hardware identical to their last setup, they kept RMAing them back thinking the board somehow faulty

:disgust: So Newegg included the disclaimer 😉 If you look at the reviews for it there's a bad rating that is probably a case of frying it through overclocking and there have most likely been a disproportionate number of RMAs for refunds for similar reasons. He even goes on to suggest getting another brand which is what he probably did. It's that or something similar because I have used eVGA cards and have one now and they are very good quality and back their product better than most IME.

$235 + $15 shipping... so $250. You can find em cheaper on sale at Best Buy and Circuit City probably... just make sure the one you buy has the 2.2ns RAM. Apparently there are a lot of places selling cards with 2.8ns or higher RAM :|
