Best ~$50 Sunglasses? Cheap enough to lose/scratch and not care

Looking for a cheap pair of polarized sunglasses. Cheap enough to lose ($50) but not as cheap as those gas station ones. Any ideas/brands?

Just a related question, are polarized sunglasses that much better than just the tinted cheap ones? Does it really help your eyes that much?

Polarization helps w/ reflection: water, glass (windshields) and such. Cheap lenses just use a thin coating that scratches off. Expensive brands sandwich the film between two thin lenses. Hopefully, I can get the second type for around $50.

i got some puma polarized sunglasses at costco for about $30. they're great...the polarization rests the eyes.

go to REI. find some you like off the cheap rack. pay $15. be happy. 🙂

i love mine, people are always surprised at how little i paid for them.

Once you go polarized, you cant go back, they rock.

Search the Hot Deals forum, either here or FW, there was a deal on Bolle sunglasses.

These are good for the price:

Performance Bike

They come with 3 interchangeable lenses. I bought them last week. Nothing fancy but the lenses do a good job with contrast-enhancement and the eyewear is comfortable-enough. I've lost/scratch too many pair to "invest" in expensive eyewear. $25 is a good price point.
