its like tecnhically more advanced than EAX but so damn hard to implement that nobody uses

most games nowadays have an EAX and or DOLBY 5.1 option in sound and audy has both!

Actually once you see my article you'll see I have a table of EAX over the years. It's not called EAX ADVANCED HD. You can customize it a lot more and the effects are up a level also. It's all backward compatible though.

Hey, since we're on the topic of sound, I've been looking everywhere and I cant seem to figure out
Where can I get the Klipsch ProMedia 5.1???!!!!!

I posted this in my own thread but since we are on the topic and i'm not getting a response i'll post here.

"Hey, I'm trying to set up my Audigy so i can use my mic/headset combo in Counterstrike and Tribes2. However, in this new system i built i cant get the audio in to work. I hear and can play just fine but i cant set the games up to talk ... or for that matter record in windows. Does anyone else have this working? Is there a simple workaround or is it as bad mic slot in the soundcard? Opinions?

Epox's kt266A board (KH7a or something like that)
SB Audigy
780mg pc2100 cas 2.5 ram
IBM Deskstar 7200rpm 40gig drive
All the latest drivers except teh Via 4in1s since they crash XP "

Damn i cant see your names here cuz the thread is too long, but to the guy that couldnt find Promedia 5.1s: yeah they're pretty impossible to find. They dont even have them in the klipsch online store. i was lucky to pick some up at my local retailer in brazil.

To the other dude:

I had the same problem when i first installed my sblive xgamer last year... my solution was real simple: in advanced recording options the mic was muted. pretty dumb huh?

this might be it, though since the rest of the card works good.

Yeah, i went in and the mic was muted... when i clicked it the check didnt disappear but it works now. Weird. Thanks.

Get the Audigy and the Promedia 5.1s. Best combo for gaming. Does no one know where to buy the Klipsch Promedia 5.1s? Anyone? There has to be some place that has them.
