Best 4-player game?

I've built up two more PC's out of spares during last week - and now I have enough machines for a 4-player games setup in one room. What's the best game to play with that number of users? I'm looking for driving (not F1 but more street racing), shooting/tactical and mebbe a sports game.

I've already got Half-Life and Rogue Spear: Urban Operations. I haven't actually gone out and bought a game for a couple of years I guess, so I'm totally out of touch.

I know many of the latest games overwhelm older machines - although one is a P4, the rest are Durons (1 x 950 with Kyro II 64MB, 1 x 850 with Geforce 2MX400 64MB) and PIII (700 with Geforce 2MX). All have 256MB of RAM or greater. All can run Windows 98SE, either as the default OS or as a dual boot.

Any recommendations? Any good recent titles which run on older machines, or any good old titles which I can pick up in the bargain bins?

For multiplayer lan fun, you'll find it hard to beat any Micromachines or Bomberman games :)

WARCRAFT II

Runs great on about any machine AND you only need one disk forr 4 players I think!

NHL 2002 is fun for some 4 player action, but I don't know if you really want to buy 4 copies of the game.

I had some friends over to play some 4-player NHL 2002 on X-Box and we had a blast.
