The highest resolution 240 Hz monitor are 2560x1440.
And all of them are IPS. Alienware AW2721D, Asus PG279QM, Asus XG27AQM, Gigabyte Aorus FI27Q-X, are the ones to consider.
The best response time so far has Asus PG279QM, but its still not released. XG27AQM will be FreeSync version and cheaper version of PG279QM, for which G-Sync module is increasing the MSRP.
All of those monitors are 27 inch.
If you want smaller monitor, that has 240 Hz - you are limited to 1080p resolution. There is abolutely plenty of good 1080p, 240 Hz monitors.
I use a Quadro FX 580 with 2 DisplayPort connections and 1 DVI. What's the best thing to acquire, please?
I am not a gamer, I like games yes, but my main focus is work.sigh.... are you seriously asking for a 4k monitor let alone a 240hz one with this video card?
I think you need to learn a bit more on what your videocard exactly is and how low in the rank it is.
Here's basic knowledge with it:
With only 512MB.. yes MegaBytes of ram, your asking for a a monitor that is way outside your specs.
Ah! Now I understood, thanks for the brighty opinion, sorry for my ignorance. Really GPUs have limitations, so for the future an 230 can be a good choice? If for gaming with low graphics and low resolution and for the rest high-res with HDR.Your video card doesn't even support 4K. Here's directly from Nvidia:
DISPLAY RESOLUTION SUPPORT > Dual DisplayPort support—ultrahigh resolution panels (up to 2560 x 1600 @60Hz) > Single dual-link DVI-I output drives digital displays at resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 @ 60Hz > Internal 400 MHz DACs—One analog display up to 2048 x 1536 @ 85Hz
So a 2K resolution monitor is the best you can hope for at 60Hz. Might wanna consider a new video card first.
