I just got THIS PS/2 to USB adapter.

I have an old PS/2 style KVM at work which obviously didn't allow me to hook up my Macbook.

Dropped $4 on this adapter and now the Macbook is running flawlessly lid closed sharing my mouse, keyboard, and monitor (along with the VGA -> DVI adapter I already had)

Now make with the cookies!!
 
If you want to save big $ on hdmi cables that b&m stores rip you off for, buy from there as well.
