I'm buying my brother a vid card for Christmas to play WoW on. He has a gig of RAM and a A64 3200. What would be his best bet?

Also, he has an Emachines case (I know, they blow), and I was wondering if an OCZ PSU would fit in it.

They most likely use standard PSUs.

$300 is way too much to spend for WoW. Nothing can make the game look good really, and it runs fast on almost anything. If you just want to pump up some options, and Im assuming your on AGP, get a used 9800 or 6600 and it will run fine.

It's a Radeon Xpress 200 mobo, so PCI-E I assume? Also, he wants AA and AF cranked as well as all settings maxxed.

My friend got a 6600 for playing WOW about 6 months ago and said it ran fast on his Athlon XP 2400+.

Bump his RAM up to 2gb... It definitely helps in WoW. Then spend the rest of the budget on a video card.

I would upgrade his case befor you got him a new PSU. If the one he has now is running stable then he doesn't need it.

Actually the Emachines arent that bad considering the market niche they are trying to fill. Low end computing. They have made some good models. Obviously though they are very limited in upgrading. A 6600 or a 6800 series card should be more than adequate. I used a 5900Ultra 128 for WoW and had no problem playing the game. And that was with a Intel P4 2.2GHz chip and 1Gb RAM. I did have cable modem though.

Does it have a standard PCI-E/AGP slot, or are the graphics somehow built in to the motherboard?
