I have about 300 bucks for a digital camera? Anyone have any suggestions?
I stopped by my local Bestbuy and looked at the olympus D360L and the Kodak DC215. Any input would be appriciated.

I think that if you search the hotdeals forum for nikon, you'll come across several to get a Nikon 800 for about $325. I don't know if they have expired. They also involved rebates.

dont buy the kodak dc215. Its only 1 megapixel. get at least the dc240 if you must have a kodak.

I just got a DC240 a couple days ago. I must say that it is awesome. I am glad I got it. The only problem is that it is definitely over his $300 limit. Mine was on closeout at Best Buy and we got it for $400. Good luck.

I owned a D360L for a few weeks. It's a decent camera and takes pretty good pictures. I bought it because I saw so many good reviews for it on different review sites. I ended up selling it for a profit on fleabay, since I'd rather wait until 2-megapixels drop in price.

Here's one site that was pretty helpful, along with cnet.

How bout a Fuji MX-1200 for $200 (at Walmart) and a 32mb Smartmedia card? I have this camera and it's great - only 1.3megapixels, but I use it mainly for web photos anyway, and the macro focus is great for those 4" motherboard closeups ;)

We have both the Olympus D360L and the Fuji MX-1200. For close up/macro shots, the Olympus is a lot better. The Fuji on the other hand is superior in color reproduction.
