Best 30" TV to use with laptop?

Hi.
I have modest laptop. It's a HP Pavilion dm1. For what it is it's an ok little laptop but I'm not keen on the screen and would like to have a TV for use as a second, larger screen. I'll use it as extra screen real estate while doing stuff like writing, editing video/photos on the laptop screen. So I guess I'll be using the TV for some games, videos and just extra desktop space.

I tried to research what's the best TV for use with a computer around 30" but there are just so many. As far as I know I need to be looking at refresh rate and response time.

I live in the UK and don't have an unlimited budget but perhaps around £400 would be ok. Possibly a little higher.

I would really appreciate some guidance on possible choices.

Also considering a Monitor alternative. I'd like the monitor to be 27" or above and between £300 - £500.
Also, do any monitors have a usb slot like TV's do so I can just watch movies on it without having to have my laptop booted up and connected?

Get an apple led. You will regret a TV.

i am using a sony ex340 .32 inc and it is perfect for me .
very nice picture .
here in ontario at walmart i pay 328.99 so that will gave you a good ideal about it .i did look at buying a 27 monitor but you pay more for a smaller screen .go for a 32 inc tv
