I'm looking for a new TV set!
The cheaper the better, but if I can get an outstanding TV for a few bucks more, I'll consider spending $600 or so.
I'd like to purchase the TV to be locally so that I could be eligible for free delivery or so that I can at least pick it up. So anything that Bestbuy, Circuit City or the Good Guys offers will interest me.
Front AV ports are a plus and it would also be nice if it had DVI.
The best non HD set that I have found is the KV-32FS120, priced at $599. The Sanyo HT30744 and HT32744 look good as well. The wide screen 30" looks great, but since most of my time is spent with watching TV rather than watching movies, maybe the 32" would be a better fit for me?
I don't have a HD signal yet, but it might help down the road when there is more HD programming and I jump on it. But I guess that I could put up an antenna and receive local station for the time being. The price on the Sanyo is really high for me. But I guess I could consider it an investment, since I will be keeping the display for a good while and for the price it just rocks.
Other than the TV sets that I have listed above, I really haven't seen any other lower priced set mentioned on the forums. If anyone could provide me with any heading, that would be much appreciated.
BTW does anyone know of any coupons that might help me out 😛
Plus would it be smarter to buy now when I get a good deal, or to wait after Christmas?
Thanks!
