Best 24-pin PSU for AthlonX2 4400 and Asus A8N-E?

So what is the best 24-pin PSU to be used with AthlonX2 4400 and Asus A8N-E. Nothing over 100 dollars please. I was looking at the SeaSonic S12-430 but it has a 20-pin to 24-pin adapter which means those extra 4 pins are not connectecd.

Here is the PSU in question
NewEgg: SeaSonic S12-430 ATX12V 430W PSU

IF there is others as Quiet and Good for the price please list them

Nothing wrong with the Seasonic 430W, but the Antec TruepowerII 480W is also pretty quiet, and has more robust dual 12V rails (36Amps), as opposed to the Seasonic 29Amps.

You might want to check and see if the 430W S12 has the PCI-e connectors.

I just picked up the S12-500 at buy.com for $89.99 with free shipping, but I had to sign up for their Visa card. The things we do to save a few bucks.........

Here's another option

i splurged and went with the S12 500W. im just like you waiting on getting an A8N E and a 4400. Looks like it wont be till the end of the month though for me. Good luck!

I am wrong it is a 24-Pin by default and it has a 24 -> 20 pin converter.

Now i am think there isn't a better buy.

I have one of these.

It IS 24 pin with a 24--20pin adapter.
It has only 2 cables for drive power connectors +1 sata cable, which is a little tough to deal with if you have even a moderate amount of hardware (only 7 connectors for the normal 4 pin connections and no PCI-E power connections. So if you have 2 optical drives + 2 hard drives + DFI motherboard + 1 PCI-e card you are essentially all out of power connectors, unless you are using SATA)

I think I got mine for $85 shipped or so.

It's also supposedly one of the most efficient supplies out there.

It works for me, and if you use SATA, there probably isn't the same lack of power connectors as for me with 1 SCSI + 1 PATA + 2 optical drives.

My S12-500 just showed up from buy.com about 2 hours ago. I'm just waiting for my A8N-E and 3200+ Venice from the AMD Tech Tour next Friday and I'll be all set.

This stuff's fun, ain't it? 😉

Does the S12-500 have more power connectors and PCI-E? i though i read on Seasonic's web site about it have PCI-E connectors.

And no i am useing IDE.

I cheap hearing that Antec are too loud for the bunch.

Other choice i want 120mm fan for Queitness. I am tired of working with a Loud computer. It isn't a problem when playing music and working but something too much music makes my head hurt lol.

I plan on getting the P180 Case from Antec for the system also. Most likely it might take a month before i order for all these new parts to settle down in price and for people to have stock 🙂
