Best 24 inch under $400

That HP is nice but even on sale its like $450+ I wanted the new Dell 24 inch but that looks like it will be like $600+ so forget that...

That Hanns-G looks like a great deal, but it doesn't have DVI, does it comes with an HDMI to DVI converter? The specs don't say. I don't think I'd want to hook a 28" up via VGA.

Those aren't USB inputs at the bottom, they are HDMI inputs.

HDMI and DVI carry the same signal, the connectors just have different shapes.

You probably received a dongle with your video card to convert the two, or you can find a cheap one online.

(buy the cheapest one you can, its a digital signal, either it works or it doesn't.)

I'd like a standard DVI input if possible. I really wanted that new Dell U2410 but it looks like that is going to be way way to much. I was hoping they would make a 24 inch with one of those low cost E-IPS panels, but of course they went with the top of the line IPS panel :-(

Yeah I know. I actually called Dell to get a price quote today, but they said they don't have any pricing yet. What is also interesting is the sales rep told me it wouldn't be for sale in the USA till the end of august or early September.

If you're willing to accept a 23.5" monitor, I recently picked up two Acer H233H at BB for $180 each. I've been very happy with them although they are 1920 x 1080 rather than 1200 but, for the price, I'll gladly settle for 16:9

I'd like to get a 1920x1200. I tried a 1920x1080 Dell 24 inch I didn't care for it too much. I'd still love to get the HP or Dell but its hard to justify a purchase of $450-550 for an LCD that to me anyway only has better view angles than a TN which is 50% less money
