What do you think would be the best 1920x1200 monitor for watching high def (1080i) content?

Would PVA or IPS panel-based monitors look nicer?

There would be NO gaming. Thanks!

IPS would have wider viewing angles and the same if not better color. But IPS come only in 19"/20"/23"/30" models, not 24".

My small contribution. I owned a Dell 2405 and ditched it primarly because of exceptionally poor viewing angles.

But just about he only place it didn't bother me was watching TV/Movies, because you sit further back and angular changes are smaller.

MicroCenter just ran a special on the Olevia 26" 1366x762 for $500 amir, I don't see the point of an even higher res on a smaller screen.

For one thing, I would be using it as a comp monitor... for another, viewing close up it would make a difference with high def channels

That size and that close a CRT is going to do a better job.

Whatever you decide this is certainly something I would want to really see in action before I decided, unless its easy to return.
