I use a ViewSonic P810, P815 and various 17" models. 3 of the 5 died before the 3 years was up, the rest died within 6 months afterwords, I'm running on my original P810 that they "fixed" which still hums really loudly and flickers.

My opinion: Avoid ViewSonic & Optiquest.

I also miss my 17" Sony Trinitron, I'm an aperature grill kinda-guy. So I'd go with the Diamondtron tube or Trinitron tube.

Definitely avoid ViewSonics...

From that list, most of the monitors are fairly equal, the two that stand out is the Iiyama Pro 510 and Samsung 1200NF. The Pro 511 is a newer model, with a better looking casing, but lower specs than the Pro 510.

If you see from my sig, i'm using the Compaq P1210...
I have been VERY satisfied with it.. very flat no sign of curves at all, best of all no curved look like most flat screens do. It also has twin inputs to connect to a second computer and switch back and forthbetween machines in a flick of a switch. If you want pictures (Copy and paste):

I'm running this puppy at 2048x1536 @ 75 Hz when doing serious work, then i switch back to 1600x1200@85.
